Novartis Recognized as Best Employer for Women Novartis Turkey has been included in the "Best Workplaces for Women" list announced by Great Place to Work Institute for 2022 Novartis Turkey, selected by Great Place To Work Institute® as one of the best employers for female employees, has added another award to its collection resulting from its investments in human resources and initiatives supporting women in the workplace. Great Place To Work Institute®, one of the world's leading organizations in measuring workplace culture and employee experience, identified companies offering the best workplace experience for female employees based on feedback from approximately 45,000 workers. On the "Best Workplaces for Women" list, where 351 candidate companies were evaluated, Novartis Turkey ranked in the top three in the 250-499 employee category.
Natacha Theytaz, Country President of Novartis Turkey, made the following statement:
"We are proud once again to be recognized as one of Turkey's best employers for female employees on the list prepared by Great Place To Work Institute. This award is an indication of our investments in the development of our female employees and our committed steps toward providing a fair work environment for everyone based on principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. We support all our employees regardless of gender throughout their career journeys with various programs; we strive to increase employee satisfaction and commitment through various practices in areas such as flexible work models, work-life balance, open communication, recognition and encouragement. These awards inspire us to do even better."
Dr. Senay Kızılkaya, Human Resources and Organization Director of Novartis Group Turkey, noting that female employees have played a major role in today's success of Novartis Turkey, whose management team is 62% comprised of women, made the following remarks on the subject:
"For our female employees, as for all our employees, we organize various coaching programs and training to prepare them for the next position through individually designed development plans. Beyond our internal practices, as part of our social responsibility approach, we implement various projects for women entering the business world. With the aim of mentoring our female students who will be the women leaders of the future, the 'Supporting Future Business Women' project, which we launched last year in cooperation with Bahçeşehir University Continuous Education Center (BAUSEM), is one of these initiatives. Within the scope of support programs we have implemented for working mothers, we have numerous practices such as flexible maternity leave, flexible nursing leave, pregnancy coaching, nursing room, postpartum and newborn support. Until their babies reach 18 months of age, all our female employees can participate in out-of-town meetings with their babies and caregivers, with expenses covered by the company. We are very pleased that we have created a working environment where our female employees feel good and safe, and that we have been recognized as worthy of this valuable award."
