Yıldız Holding appoints Cengiz Altop, experienced food-industry executive, as CEO of Northstar. Cengiz Altop has been appointed CEO of Northstar, the innovation company of Yıldız Holding. Altop brings more than 40 years of experience in the food sector. He graduated from Middle East Technical University's Department of Chemical Engineering in 1979 and completed his master's degree in the same department in 1981. Altop completed his MBA at Yale University in 1991. Between 1983 and 1989, he held successive positions at Ülker Çikolata and Bisküvi factories: Production Engineer, Head of R&D and Quality, and Deputy General Manager. [caption id="attachment_159787" align="aligncenter"] Cengiz Altop[/caption] Between 1992 and 1998, Altop served as Deputy General Manager at Mis Süt within the Tekfen Group and founding General Manager of the Macro Süpercenter chain. From 2003 to 2020, he served as Managing Partner of Teknaroma. When Teknaroma was transferred to Palsgaard Gıda San. Tic. A.Ş. in 2020, Altop continued as General Manager until January 2023. Prior to his appointment as CEO at Northstar, Altop most recently served as Senior Commercial Director for Global Chocolate Industry under the Palsgaard Gıda umbrella. Going forward, Cengiz Altop will lead innovation and incubation processes at Northstar, where technologies and processes for products that will provide Yıldız Holding with competitive advantage in the future will be developed.
