TURKSAT-6A prepares for launch into orbit

Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan announced at the opening of the 4th Mobilefest Technology Fair and Conference that TURKSAT 6-A, produced with domestic and national resources, will be launched into orbit in July. The opening of the 4th Mobilefest Technology Fair and Conference, which has Communication Technologies Cluster (HTK) and Turkey Payment and Electronic Money Institutions Association (TÖDEB) among its strategic partners and is supported by the Services Exporters Association, took place. Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan also spoke at the opening. Sayan stated, "We are conducting the final tests of TURKSAT-6A, which we have produced entirely with domestic and national resources. It will be launched into orbit around July."

The opening of the 4th Mobilefest Technology Fair and Conference was attended by Deputy Ministers of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz and Ömer Fatih Sayan, ExpoHIS General Manager Kenan Onak, HTK Board Chairman Mustafa Yaman, HIB Board Member İlhan Bağören, and Information and Communication Technologies Authority President Abdullah Ömer Karagözoğlu. Alongside Mobilefest, which is planned to host approximately 300 domestic and foreign participating brands and over 20,000 visitors, the Agora Fintech financial technologies event is being held for the first time this year with the cooperation of TÖDEB and main support from the Presidential Finance Office.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz thanked all participating companies that contributed to the organization of the fourth Mobilefest. Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan said in his speech: "While the globalizing world is undergoing rapid change, mobile technologies constitute the largest subject of this transformation. At this point, Mobilefest, which is an important achievement for our country, sets itself apart from other fairs in terms of showcasing domesticity and national character to the world. Another point we should be proud of is that today we are using 51 percent domestic products in our networks in our country. At the same time, we are conducting the final tests of TURKSAT-6A, which we have produced entirely with domestic and national resources, and we will launch it into orbit around July."

5G forms the foundation for interconnecting intelligent technologies

Information and Communication Technologies Authority President Abdullah Ömer Karagözoğlu stated that Mobilefest provides an advantage to manufacturing companies in terms of showcasing products and increasing recognition. Karagözoğlu said: "Today, developments in mobile technologies form one of the important building blocks of digital transformation. According to United Nations data, as of July 2023, out of a world population exceeding 8 billion, nearly 7 billion are smartphone owners. This figure corresponds to 86 percent of the world population. 5.5 billion people benefit from the internet. In our country, the percentage of the population using the internet has reached 87 percent. As BTK, the most important pillar of our work in the internet field is 5G, because 5G forms the foundation for interconnecting all types of intelligent technologies."

ExpoHIS General Manager Kenan Onak, thanking all institutions and organizations that contributed to the organization of the Mobilefest Technology Fair and Conference, stated: "Our fair, of which we are holding the fourth edition this year, has become the largest technological meeting point not only in Turkey but in the Eurasian region.
