TÜREB Conducts International Technical Visit to the Netherlands and Belgium

The Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB), the umbrella organization of Türkiye's wind energy sector, is organizing a technical and institutional visit program covering the Netherlands and Belgium from 23–26 March 2026, aimed at examining current developments in renewable energy in Europe firsthand, assessing good practice examples on the ground, and strengthening international collaborations.

Turkey's wind energy sector umbrella organization, the Turkey Wind Energy Association (TÜREB), is organizing a technical and institutional visit program covering the Netherlands and Belgium from 23–26 March 2026 to examine current developments in renewable energy in Europe on site, evaluate best practice examples in the field, and strengthen international cooperation.

Within the scope of the program, applications aimed at the integration of wind energy in different fields including energy, climate, agriculture and logistics will be addressed; and direct contact with institutions and structures that shape the sector's future in Europe is targeted.

EUROPEAN APPLICATIONS TO BE EXAMINED ON SITE
Within the scope of the visit program, the TÜREB delegation will have the opportunity to examine on site best practice examples in Europe regarding the effective use of wind energy on land and at sea. Through technical examinations to be conducted on energy infrastructure, sustainability policies and sectoral integration, it is aimed to obtain guidance outputs for Turkey's wind energy ecosystem.

TECHNICAL EXAMINATIONS TO BE CONDUCTED AT ROTTERDAM PORT
In the Netherlands segment of the program, Rotterdam Port, one of Europe's most important logistics hubs, will be visited. Through contacts to be made within the scope of port infrastructure, energy applications and on-site technical examinations, applications regarding the integration of wind energy with logistics and industrial infrastructure will be evaluated on site.

HIGH-LEVEL CONTACTS WITH THE EU IN BRUSSELS
In the Belgium segment of the visit, the WindEurope Headquarters in Brussels, one of the sector's most important representative bodies in Europe, will be visited. Within this scope, discussions will be held with the European Union on wind energy policies, sector priorities and international cooperation areas.

INTERNATIONAL CONTACTS AND THE SECTOR'S FUTURE
In statements regarding the international technical and institutional visit program covering the Netherlands and Belgium, TÜREB Board Chairman Dr. İbrahim Erden stated: "The wind energy sector is undergoing a multi-dimensional transformation process not only through increases in installed capacity; but also through technology, legislation, infrastructure and international cooperation. As TÜREB, we view closely monitoring this transformation, examining best practices in Europe on site and establishing direct contacts on behalf of our sector as a strategic priority. This international technical and institutional visit covering the Netherlands and Belgium provides the opportunity to evaluate on site concrete examples regarding the integration of wind energy with different fields such as energy, climate, agriculture and logistics. In particular, technical examinations to be conducted at strategic European centers such as Rotterdam Port and contacts to be made with WindEurope are of a nature that will strengthen the international positioning of Turkey's wind energy sector. We believe that this visit will contribute to deepening information sharing, transferring best practice examples to our sector, and creating new areas of cooperation. As TÜREB, we regard such platforms that enable our members to have direct contact with global developments as a long-term investment in our sector's future."
