Graduation and Achievement Celebration at Tohum Otizm Vakfı Eğitim Kurumları

Tohum Otizm Vakfı Educational Institutions completed another academic year with success and pride through its traditional year-end performance. The event, where students showcased skills acquired throughout the year, brought together families, educators, alumni and supporters in emotional moments.

Since 2003 in Turkey, Tohum Otizm Vakfı has continued its work to ensure early diagnosis of children with autism, support them with evidence-based education and integrate them into society. Through its Educational Institutions established in 2006, the foundation continues to provide quality education opportunities to autistic children during early childhood, pre-school and school-age periods.

At the year-end event held at the foundation's school campus in Şişli, students performed drama, dance, rhythm and folk dance shows. Students, who had the opportunity to demonstrate academic and social skills acquired throughout the year, received applause from the audience. As part of the program, graduation and achievement certificates were presented to students.

"Every Step Is a Major Achievement for Us"
Ayşe Nur Kekiç, Education Director and School Principal of Tohum Otizm Vakfı, spoke about students' development journey:

"Every performance we watched on stage today is a reflection of the effort, patience and determination our students showed throughout the year. Sometimes the first eye contact established, sometimes the first word spoken, sometimes the courage to take the stage is very valuable for us. We believe that every child can develop when provided with proper support and appropriate educational environment. Each skill we impart to our students contributes to their ability to continue their lives as independent individuals in the future. We thank our families, teachers and all supporters who stood by us during this process."

Within the scope of the event, appreciation plaques were presented to institutions supporting the foundation by Seda Köknel, General Director of Tohum Otizm Vakfı. The program, which was also attended by Mine Narin, Honorary President of Tohum Otizm Vakfı, was joined by Şişli District Governor Cevdet Ertürkmen and Adnan Can, Head of Şişli District National Education Department.

The final section, where students, families and educators came together on stage, was one of the most enthusiastic moments of the event.
