Teksüt Board Chair Cevdet Arınık Speaks at Panel Held at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University: ''Turkey's milk production and exports are growing.''

The panel, organised by Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Career Development Application and Research Centre, was attended by Cevdet Arınık, Board Chair of Teksüt, one of Turkey's largest milk and dairy products enterprises, as well as Temel Hazıroğlu, CFO of Al Baraka Türk Katılım Bankası. At the panel, moderated by academic Dr. Hamit Akçay, the topic of 'Determination', considered the golden key to success, was discussed.

The Path to Success Goes Through Hard Work

Teksüt Board Chair Cevdet Arınık stated that it is impossible to achieve anything without determination to struggle and said, "Along with the determination to struggle, the real thing that brings success is not work, but hard work."

We Reached 20 Million Tonnes in Milk Production

Cevdet Arınık, sharing with students the stages Teksüt has gone through since its establishment in 1956, also addressed the development of milk production and the sector in Turkey. Saying "Milk production in Turkey is growing steadily, the milk sector is developing progressively and along with these, our milk exports are also rising regularly," Arınık shared the following information: "While 12 million tonnes of milk were produced in Turkey in 2010, 20.7 million tonnes of milk were produced in 2017. Approximately half of the milk produced was used by dairy processing facilities. Production is increasing steadily. We both process and export this milk. In Turkey's neighbouring geography, there are densely populated countries with demand for milk. Additionally, distant markets are emerging as potential markets for our milk. For example, we as Teksüt export to Taiwan. Our government is also conducting the necessary work to be able to sell dairy products to China. In light of all these, I believe the future of milk production and the milk sector in Turkey is clear." At the panel, which drew significant student interest, University Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özdemir presented the panellists with commemorative plaques.
