Meriç Uygun of Team Akfen İnşaat Wins Double Medal in Greece

Merici Uygun, a national swimmer supported under the "Team Akfen İnşaat" project launched by Akfen İnşaat to support young national athletes, achieved significant international success with her results at the Acropolis Swim Open 2026 held in Greece.

Competing in the organization with approximately 600 athletes from 12 countries, the young athlete finished the tournament with two medals, securing second place in the 200-metre breaststroke category and third place in the 200-metre individual medley category.

Racing in the same lane as swimmers from different countries, Merici Uygun drew attention with her performance, once again demonstrating that she is among the rising young athletes of Turkish swimming.

The "Team Akfen İnşaat" project, carried out by Akfen İnşaat to contribute to the development of young national athletes, aims to support athletes in gaining experience at international competitions and increasing their success.
