Takeda Türkiye Makes Third Senior Appointment to Near East, Middle East and Africa (NEMEA) Region

Following the earlier international appointments of Ebru Yavuz as Market Access and Commercial Director for the Takeda NEMEA Region and Senem Birim Alp as Communications Director, another successful Takeda woman has been assigned overseas following Gamze Yüceland's appointment as Takeda Country President for Canada. Tuba Ertek, who has served as Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Director for Takeda Turkey since June 2015 and has distinguished herself through her successful work, will take up her new position as NEMEA Region Human Resources Business Director effective 1 September 2018. Tuba Ertek will conduct her new role from Dubai, overseeing Turkey, South Africa, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Gulf countries, Moldova, Iran, and Algeria. A graduate of Istanbul University's Public Administration Department, Tuba Ertek held positions in Human Resources, Sales and Marketing functions in the FMCG and Technology sectors before joining Takeda. With the knowledge and experience accumulated over 17 years in the sector, she has successfully managed the cultural and organizational transformation that Takeda Turkey's organization has undergone since joining the company. She successfully implemented numerous initiatives at Takeda Turkey to foster happier and more engaged employees and secured the "Best Employer" certification for the organization. In particular, Ertek successfully managed the organizational and cultural transformation during the Core Products portfolio acquisition process and the establishment of the Specialty Products Business Unit, contributing to Takeda Turkey winning numerous awards locally and globally, and the Turkish team receiving the Top Employer certification with a high score for 2 years. Tuba Ertek was recently recognized with the "Most Effective Leader" award at the Peer Awards for Excellence, one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious awards.
