Singer, which stands by women through both advanced sewing machines and social responsibility projects it has developed, is now launching a new initiative. Singer has moved forward to open training courses in Public Education Centers across Turkey for 5 years in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education. The signed protocol involves opening vocational technical courses in Public Education Centers and Regional Singer Service outlets, including machine operation courses, sewing and embroidery design courses, and furnishing courses that will develop women's manual skills and enable them to acquire professions. The goal is to train 600 women in the first year and 3,000 women in total over 5 years… Singer's project, launched under the slogan "Educated Individual, Educated Society," aims to enable participants to contribute to their family budgets and thus the country's economy, change their professions, develop their personal competencies, develop their hobbies, improve their collective work skills, and achieve self-sufficiency. Participants receive training in classes of 20-25 people over periods ranging from 3 to 6 months and are awarded certificates proving they have acquired a profession. Graduates, in addition to machine knowledge, learn sewing, embroidery, design, and furnishing skills depending on the course type, enabling them to meet their own needs as well as acquire the capability to provide professional services by opening sewing and embroidery workshops. Anyone who is a Turkish Republic citizen and has passed primary school age can participate in Singer's Machine Training Courses. Singer Training Coordinator İlknur Eşiz, expressing the brand's emphasis on women's education, said: "We believe it is appropriate to proceed from the fact that the contribution of our women, who make up half of our country's population, to our social development will be possible through their personal development. Investment in women is best rewarded through competency. In this context, we are elevating our manual skills courses to higher levels by combining them with our branded products (Singer & Pfaff). The saying 'Tools work, hands shine,' which reflects commonly accepted knowledge, comes into play here. As an upper-segment machine supplier, Singer Sewing Machines General Management contributes to the education of Turkish women through our mechanical, electronic and computerized domestic machines." he said.
