Sinangil continues its support for the Kalben Children's Village Project, carried out by the Kalben Association. At the pastry workshop held on Ekinlik Island, children between the ages of 7-12 received basic pastry training from pastry chefs and prepared their own products.
Sinangil, the main brand of Eksun Gıda, continues to support projects for children under state protection as part of its community-focused efforts. In this context, Sinangil maintains its cooperation with the Kalben Association, which has been carrying out work for children under protection for nearly 10 years.
As part of the cooperation, realized for the second time this year, a pastry workshop for children was organized within the Kalben Children's Village Project, carried out with the support of the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
Children aged 7-12 participating in the summer holiday program on Ekinlik Island entered the kitchen alongside pastry chefs and learned the basic stages of making cakes and pastries. In the hands-on workshop, children gained production experience in the kitchen with the products they prepared themselves, while enjoying the pleasure of producing and sharing together.
"We take on responsibility in projects that add value to children's lives"
Evaluating the cooperation, Hasan Abdullah Özkan, Chairman and CEO of Eksun Gıda Group, stated that efforts supporting children in discovering their potential make an important contribution to the future of society.
Özkan said, "We view every effort that opens space for children to discover their potential as a valuable investment in the future of our society. For this reason, contributing to the work carried out with great dedication by the Kalben Association holds an important place in our understanding of corporate responsibility. Being able to strengthen a child's curiosity, self-confidence, and hope for the future constitutes the most valuable return of this cooperation for us. As Eksun Gıda, we will continue to take on responsibility with our Sinangil brand in projects that add value to children's lives," he said.
An opportunity to learn and have fun during summer holidays
The Kalben Association, which has been carrying out work for children under state protection for nearly 10 years, offers children the opportunity to have a holiday in a safe environment and gain different experiences through the Kalben Children's Village Project, which it has brought to life on Ekinlik Island.
Within the scope of the project, carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, dozens of children are hosted every week, and social, cultural, and educational activities are carried out during the one-week stay. Through workshops and various activities, the aim is for children to learn together, make new friends, and spend their holidays with enjoyable experiences.
Following the pastry workshop, children were given a Nature-Friendly Activity Kit and a kite as gifts, so that they could make the most of their time at the village with creative activities and spend time immersed in nature.
