Siemens Türkiye Completes Energy Efficiency Project for Eyüboğlu Eğitim Kurumları

Siemens Türkiye, which designs a vision for the future by offering solutions to enhance sustainability, energy efficiency and digital adaptation for businesses across all sectors, has completed its work under an "Energy Performance Contract" with Eyüboğlu Eğitim Kurumları, which aims to become a "Sustainable and Digital Campus."

Siemens Turkey, which designs its future vision by providing solutions to increase sustainability, energy efficiency and digital adaptation across all sectors, has completed work under an Energy Performance Contract with Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions, which aims to be a 'Sustainable and Digital Campus'.

Within the scope of the collaboration, a solar power plant (GES) and local and indoor pool automation systems were installed at Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions Burçak Eyüboğlu West Ataşehir Campus educational facility, achieving both renewable energy generation and energy savings. Thanks to the energy obtained from the GES, the energy needs of Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions Burçak Eyüboğlu West Ataşehir Campus will be met, while Siemens Turkey's Sustainable and Digital Campus Project will achieve annual GES energy production of 148 MWh and natural gas savings of 1,000 MWh. This will prevent approximately 283 tons of carbon emissions annually.

Siemens Turkey continues to make significant contributions to the economy by moving its customers and our country towards carbon-neutral goals through specialized energy efficiency projects developed for the needs of different sectors. In this context, Siemens Turkey, which includes educational institutions in energy performance contracts, has completed its work with Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions, which aims to be part of a sustainable cycle and capture the innovations of the era to present this vision to its students. Within the scope of the collaboration between Siemens Turkey and the institution, in addition to energy efficiency solutions implemented at the Burçak Eyüboğlu campus in Ataşehir, fire detection and alarm systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV), building automation systems and the DesigoCC building management system for central management of all these systems were installed at the Çamlıca campus.

Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions Board of Directors Chairman and General Manager, Cenk Eyüboğlu,
"Since our establishment in 1970, we have placed sustainability at the center of our institutional strategies in education, arts, social responsibility and environmental awareness. In line with this approach, the first phase of our solar panels, which is part of the 'Sustainable Campus' collaboration we initiated with world technology giant Siemens, was commissioned at Burçak Eyüboğlu Primary and Secondary School. Thus, we not only reduce our carbon footprint, but also educate future generations on environmental consciousness and, through our Siemens-Eyüboğlu certification programs, develop them as individuals equipped with sustainability knowledge. We express our sincere gratitude to the entire Siemens management and team for their valuable contributions to this meaningful project."

"As Siemens Turkey, we are pleased to be Eyüboğlu Educational Institutions' technology solutions partner"
In his assessment of the collaboration, Siemens Turkey CEO Hüseyin Gelis emphasized that there is significant energy efficiency potential in educational institutions in Turkey, stating, "Buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of global energy consumption. One of the biggest challenges for the education sector today is enabling campuses to reduce their carbon emissions. The collaboration with Eyüboğlu has become an excellent example for educational institutions that develop a carbon reduction strategy to achieve energy savings and sustainability goals. Our digital building solutions not only helped Eyüboğlu reduce costs and better manage energy demand, but also brought existing infrastructure into alignment with the latest technology."

"Burçak Campus at Eyüboğlu School meets all its energy consumption from GES"
Noting that work on the project began by conducting sustainability analyses of buildings, Siemens Turkey Smart Infrastructure Buildings Division Country Manager stated the following regarding renewable energy investments: "At Burçak Eyüboğlu Primary and Secondary School, 47 percent of consumption began to be provided through GES. In the second phase of our project, many other works were implemented such as fire detection, closed-circuit television (CCTV), digital services and indoor pool air conditioning systems. By the end of the project, we have established systems that will provide annual GES energy production of 148 MWh as well as 1,000 MWh of natural gas savings. Thus, while obtaining energy with a solar power plant at the educational institution, energy savings were also achieved through room automation systems and security systems were equipped with new technology. The investments made within the scope of the project will pay for themselves in three and a half years."
