Kimpur and Aluform Pekintaş, two leading domestic firms in Turkey's insulation sector, have joined forces to contribute to the defence industry. Kimpur, a polyurethane systems house with the region's largest production capacity, and Aluform Pekintaş, a pioneer in sandwich panel manufacturing, have developed insulated sandwich panels with anti-blast and ballistic protection properties.

This project represents an important step in reducing import dependence in the defence industry, while the developed panels will play a critical role in border security, military facilities, strategic installations and fort protection. Aluform Pekintaş's Aludefence branded panels, manufactured using Kimpur's high-performance KIMrigid rigid foam systems, were specifically designed to provide the highest security standards in military structures.

The panels, which exhibit superior performance in terms of thermal and mechanical durability, provide excellent insulation through polyurethane fillings with low thermal conductivity coefficients and increase the structure's energy efficiency. The anti-blast properties of the panels provide maximum protection against explosion pressure, while the specially developed polyurea coating increases the panels' resistance to impacts and external factors.

These panels, which demonstrate high fire resistance, maintain structural integrity even in the most demanding conditions, making it possible to ensure maximum security in military facilities.
