Organized Industrial Zones Undergo Digitalization

Industrial Parks Going Digital A protocol for the "Digital Transformation Certification Program for Organized Industrial Parks" was signed by the Union of Chambers of Organized Industrial Parks (OSBÜK), Vodafone Business and Yildiz Technical University, positioning them as pioneers in the digital transformation of organized industrial parks. At a ceremony held in Istanbul, the protocol for the "Digital Transformation Certification Program for Organized Industrial Parks" was signed to advance the digitalization of OSBs. At the signing ceremony, OSBÜK Chairman Memiş Kütükcü made remarks. Kütükcü stated that their objective is to digitalize all organized industrial parks in Turkey and the business processes of the 67,000 enterprises operating in these parks to the maximum extent, and that the program being implemented will lead this goal.

Protocol for "Digital Transformation Certification Program for Organized Industrial Parks" Signed

The protocol for the "Digital Transformation Certification Program for Organized Industrial Parks," prepared by OSBÜK together with Vodafone Business and Yildiz Technical University to advance the digitalization of organized industrial parks, was signed. The protocol was signed by OSBÜK Chairman Memiş Kütükcü, Vodafone Turkey Executive Board Vice Chairman Özlem Kestioğlu, and Yildiz Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz.

OSBs: Turkey's Manufacturing Force Across 81 Provinces

At the protocol signing ceremony held in Istanbul, OSBÜK Chairman Memiş Kütükcü made remarks. Kütükcü emphasized that OSBs have become Turkey's manufacturing force across 81 provinces. Kütükcü stated that there are 366 organized industrial parks in Turkey and that OSBs provide direct employment to 2 million 325 thousand people. Kütükcü said, "Our OSBs, where 67,000 industrial enterprises operate, account for 45 percent of our country's total industrial production. The digitalization of our OSBs, which serve as locomotives for Turkish industry in production, employment and exports, and their adaptation to next-generation production and business models is extremely important. As OSBÜK, we are conducting significant work in this area. The Digital Transformation Certification Program for Organized Industrial Parks, which we are implementing together with Vodafone and Yildiz Technical University, is one of these initiatives." Kütükcü stated that their objective is to digitalize all organized industrial parks in Turkey and the business processes of the 67,000 enterprises in these parks to the maximum extent, and emphasized that the program implemented by OSBÜK, Vodafone Turkey and Yildiz Technical University will lead this goal.

Multiple Training Programs Across 10 Main Categories

Kütükcü provided information regarding the training offered within the framework of the program. Kütükcü said, "Within the program framework, multiple training sessions will be provided across 10 main categories ranging from the Impact of Digital Transformation on Industrialists to Digital Business Models, from Industry 4.0 to the Internet of Things, and from Digital Leadership to Digital Marketing. These training sessions, aimed entirely at employees of our OSB administrations and enterprises operating in our OSBs, will continue until July. Within the program framework, where initial digital training will be provided to 1,000 people, 955 people from our OSBs have applied so far. Upon successful completion of the training, these participants will receive a certificate."

"We Must Use Advanced Technologies in Production"

Vodafone Turkey Executive Board Vice Chairman Özlem Kestioğlu stated that as Vodafone Business, they attach great importance to Turkey's digitalization and are conducting numerous initiatives in this area, and said "Production is very important to us. We need to be a society that produces more and uses advanced technologies in production. Currently, we have organized industrial parks in almost every province across Turkey. As Vodafone Business, with our Vodafone technologies and end-to-end solutions, we stand alongside our OSBs and industrialists."

Organized Industrial Parks Will Make Significant Contributions to Turkey's Development

Yildiz Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz emphasized the importance of the program and the training to be provided to OSBs, and expressed his gratitude to OSBÜK and Vodafone Turkey. Stating that Yildiz Technical University has always been active in the field, Yılmaz said, "We draw our strength from industry itself. We have always valued cooperation with our organized industrial parks. This project, in which we combine our strengths, will provide tremendous contribution to organized industrial parks, which are a very important cornerstone in Turkey's development. Today we are beginning with training. This will subsequently be followed by R&D, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology production."
