Novartis İlaç Takes "Digital Transformation" a Step Further

With innovation and digitalization on its agenda, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Turkey organized the "1st Digital Innovation Day" to develop new ideas in healthcare digitalization. To realize its goal of becoming a company that makes a difference globally in innovation and digitalization, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Turkey held the "Digital Innovation Day" event for the first time. At this event, where transformational innovation and digital transformation concepts were conveyed to company executives and the benefits digitalization would provide to stakeholders were discussed, an important step was taken toward developing new ideas and creating a roadmap to become an organization capable of making an innovative and digital difference.   At the event, Novartis employees had the opportunity to meet with thought leaders who are experts in technology and digitalization, and also had the chance to experience technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality and holography to explore the potential of digital technologies in healthcare.

"The Future is Digital"

Novartis Pharmaceuticals Division General Manager Avinash Potnis, who gave the opening speech of the event, noted that digital transformation is happening faster than expected and that only companies that adapt to this transformation will be able to exist in the future. In this context, Potnis, giving examples from initiatives carried out within Novartis, stated that as a pharmaceutical company they focus on data and digitalization and that all management is excited about this matter. Potnis also said: "All departments of our organization must embrace digital technologies, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence in all aspects. In this way, we can be more innovative and increase our effectiveness. Thanks to our decades of experience, we have access to vast amounts of data. This is a very important strategic value that can bring new insights to our company." Işık Sönmez, Marketing and Sales Operations Director who organized the "Digital Innovation Day" event held within Novartis Turkey, stated: "As Novartis, our aim is to develop much more effective, innovative medicines that can change human lives. We can do this by developing our capabilities on new platforms, developing our medicines more effectively and remaining open to innovations around us. As Novartis Turkey, we believe in digital transformation and fully support the innovative ideas of our employees."
