Milliken Expands Investments in Asia with New Manufacturing Facility in Singapore

Milliken & Company announced today plans to build a new, state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing facility and knowledge center in Asia. With operations set to begin in the first quarter of 2021, the facility will expand Milliken's chemical manufacturing footprint to support growing demand in Asia, as well as rapidly expanding markets in India and China. The company currently operates an application laboratory and technical service and sales office in Singapore and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in the region. Allen Jacoby, Senior Vice President, Plastic Additives unit, Milliken Chemical division, shared the following: "Milliken is deeply committed to our growing markets in Asia. With this investment, we hope to contribute innovative chemical production with positive impact to the region and the world." The new facility will have capacity to manufacture a range of integrated Milliken plastic additives that will provide sustainability and manufacturing advantages to the global plastics sector. The facility will initially produce Milliken's Hyperform® polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) nucleating agents, as well as specialty colorants used in diverse product applications such as home and laundry care, personal care, industrial and institutional cleaners, and polyurethane foams.
