International fragrance producer MG International Fragrance Company brought together prospective young chemists at the KİMSEK'9 event organized by Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Kimya Teknolojileri Kulübü (KİMTEK). As gold sponsor of the event, MG International shared its sectoral knowledge and global vision with students.
At the event, which brought together university students planning careers in chemistry and technology with sector professionals, MG International Corporate Communication Director Duygu Beşbıçak served as speaker. Beşbıçak presented a broad perspective ranging from global competition dynamics in the fragrance sector to branding processes and sustainable production approaches.
Noting that fragrance production is a multi-layered discipline, Beşbıçak stated: "Fragrance production has a multi-layered and specialized structure encompassing raw material selection, formulation development and quality processes. This field is a special discipline where technical knowledge meets creative approach in balanced measure."

Touching on the transformation process underway in the sector, Beşbıçak emphasized the importance of young chemists adapting to this change: "Today the fragrance industry is being reshaped along the lines of sustainability, transparency and ethical production. As consumer expectations change, environmental responsibility is gaining increasing importance. It is crucial for young people to read this change correctly and develop themselves in multiple directions."
Pointing to the strategic importance of university-industry collaboration, Beşbıçak continued: "As MG International, we do not think that our contact with young people is limited to a single event. These meetings are spaces where mutual learning begins. As a sector, we share our experience; students bring us new ideas and new perspectives. This interaction is extremely valuable for the sustainability of innovation."
Beşbıçak concluded his remarks: "Young people need to ask bold questions, think differently and push boundaries. As long as you do not lose your curiosity, this sector offers you a very broad scope for action. As MG International, we will continue to stand alongside the chemists of the future and contribute to their development."
