Fragrance and Flavor Summit Kicks Off at CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel Istanbul

Turkey's first 'Fragrance and Taste Summit' opened its doors to international participants in Istanbul. The summit takes participants on a journey through the magical world of thousands of different scents, from perfume to coffee, from lavender to simit. A press conference was held at the opening of the summit, which took place on 3-4 May 2019 at CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel Istanbul under the sponsorship of Acıbadem Taksim Hospital. At the press conference, experts in fragrance shared important statements on health and social life regarding everything from baby scent to skin scent, while also delivering captivating messages to each other. One of their messages was: "Your scent is your signature, it tells a lot about you." At the press conference held on the occasion of the summit's opening; Fragrance and Taste Summit Chair, Associate Professor Dr. Aytuğ Altundağ, Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases Specialist, Professor Dr. İlkkan Dünder, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist, Dr. Gülsen Meral, Child Health and Diseases Specialist, Bihter Türkan Ergül, Founder of the Fragrance Culture Association, Gülhan Kara, food writer, and Gülay Özel, Sales and Marketing Director of CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel Istanbul, shared important information for participants. Professor Dr. İlkkan Dünder, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist, stated that everyone in life first perceives a woman's scent, and that this scent is the mother's scent, speaking as follows: "The scent of milk on the mother's breast reflexively directs the baby towards nursing. Thus, the beginning of growth and development starts with the human sense of smell, and the scent experienced in the mother is therefore very important." Professor Dr. İlkkan Dünder, noting that women's sense of smell is more developed than men's, conveyed that women's scent is also very important and that women have changed men's lives and thus history.
