TRNC's Innovative Ventures to Scale Up with İTÜ Çekirdek

ITU ARI Teknokent's incubation center ITU Çekirdek has launched a special call period for entrepreneurs in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Under the program implemented in cooperation with ITU Alumni Association Northern Cyprus, individuals living in TRNC, studying there, or wishing to become entrepreneurs can apply to ITU Çekirdek's entrepreneurship program. Applications are being accepted at basvuru.itucekirdek.com.

ITU Çekirdek, which supports 500 startups annually and provides millions of dollars in added value to Turkey's economy, this year is inviting entrepreneurs in the sister nation Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with projects that will transform the future to participate in the program.

ITU ARI Teknokent General Director Prof. Dr. Attila Dikbaş made the following statements regarding the cooperation:

"We are proud and pleased to launch a special call period that will support the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. As ITU ARI Teknokent, supporting entrepreneurship activities in sister geographies is one of our fundamental responsibilities. For us, it is very valuable that those living in TRNC today or dreaming of becoming entrepreneurs develop through the education, mentorship and investment opportunities provided by ITU Çekirdek."

Dikbaş emphasized that by combining ITU's presence in TRNC with entrepreneurship experience, they will establish strong ties with alumni and integrate entrepreneurs in the region into the international ecosystem.

ITU Alumni Association Northern Cyprus (ITÜMEDEK) Board Chairman Hilmi Kansu stated that they are offering a great opportunity for entrepreneurs:

ITU Çekirdek, which has supported 5,000 enterprises to date, provided USD 300 million in investment to these ventures and reached a total valuation of USD 3 billion, accepts applications at basvuru.itucekirdek.com.
