"Time for Unity in Chemicals" Message Delivered at Iftar Gathering

İKMİB Chairperson candidate V. İbrahim Aracı brought together leading representatives of the chemical sector at an iftar dinner. The meeting highlighted the sector's common goals, export vision and unity message.

Leading Sector Names Gathered at Same Table
V. İbrahim Aracı, Chair of GEBKİM Chemistry Specialization OSB and Protective Companies Group, who announced his candidacy for İKMİB Chairperson under the slogan "Time for Unity in Chemistry," brought together powerful representatives of the sector at the iftar dinner he organized.

The meeting, attended by members of the İKMİB Extended Board of Directors as well as leaders of leading associations and civil society organizations in the chemical sector, created a strong environment of consultation and solidarity among sector stakeholders.

The iftar dinner was attended by: İKMİB Chairperson Adil Pelister, ZÜCDER Chair Burak Önder, TOBB Turkey Chemistry Industry Council Chair Timur Erk, MAPESAD Chair Tayfun Koçak, BOSAD Chair Kenan Baytaş, PLASFED Chair Ömer Karadeniz, PAGDER Chair Kenan Benlilers, Composite Manufacturers Association Chair Kemal Darcan, Turkey Chemistry Association Chair Bahattin Yalçın, TOYDER Chair Raşit Akar, PLAT Chair İmer Özer, İMEAK Chamber of Maritime Commerce Kocaeli Branch Chair Vedat Doğusel, and GEBKİM OSB Board members.

Strong Support for İKMİB Chairperson Candidate Aracı
At the evening attended by representatives from different areas of the sector, association and NGO chairs took the floor to express their support for İKMİB Chairperson candidate V. İbrahim Aracı.

In the speeches, the future vision of the chemical sector, export-driven growth strategies and common steps to be taken to increase global competitiveness were discussed. Participants emphasized the importance of unity, cooperation and collective wisdom for the sector's future.

At the evening, as the candidacy process shaped by broad consensus was highlighted, it was stated that Aracı's entry into the İKMİB Chairperson elections as the sole candidate carried an important message in terms of sector cohesion.

Aracı: "We Will Add Strength to Our Sector"
Speaking at the program, V. İbrahim Aracı emphasized the spirit of unity and solidarity in the month of Ramadan and extended greetings to sector representatives for the blessed month and the approaching holiday.

Noting that the Turkish chemical sector carries strategic value for Turkey with its production capacity, export success and strong knowledge accumulation, Aracı said:

"We will build the future with unity, collective wisdom and strong representation. The cohesion of all stakeholders in the chemical sector will play a critical role in Turkey's achieving its production and export targets."

Aracı also thanked all association and NGO chairs who provided support, while expressing his gratitude to everyone who has contributed to İKMİB to date and especially to current Chairperson Adil Pelister.

Touching on International Women's Day on 8 March at the end of his speech, Aracı said: "I congratulate all our women who make a difference through their labor and productivity in every aspect of life on International Women's Day. As the chemical sector, we highly value women's participation in the workforce and their success, and we continue to work for women to have a stronger place in our production life."

Varank's Best Wishes for Aracı
A surprise meeting that took place following the iftar dinner was one of the notable moments of the evening. Mustafa Varank, former Minister of Industry and Technology, AK Party Deputy for Bursa and Chair of the TBMM Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission, who was at the same venue, met with leading names in the chemical sector.

During the meeting held in a cordial atmosphere where current topics and future prospects of the sector were discussed, Varank conveyed his support to İKMİB Chairperson candidate V. İbrahim Aracı and wished him success in the election process.
