New Hubs Emerging in the Chemical Sector

Dinçer Lojistik, a company serving a niche yet significant market in dangerous goods logistics in Turkey and frequently noted for its services in chemical and hazardous chemical materials, is preparing to expand the chemistry sector—currently concentrated in provinces such as Kocaeli and İzmir—nationwide through its developed "Distributor Logistics" project. Under the project scope, storage and distribution centers covering approximately 60,000 m² will be established in 12 provinces by year-end. Through the Distributor Logistics project developed by Dinçer Lojistik, logistics operations managed from a single center will be distributed regionally, with the goal of achieving customer-oriented sales benefits including minimizing storage and distribution costs, delivering products to sales and consumption points at the fastest rate, and reducing costs stemming from ADR regulations—which cause significant cost increases for chemistry sector producers—through consolidation opportunities. The project investment, including vehicle and warehouse investments, is expected to be around TRY 25 million, with the generated efficiency gains projected to recover this cost within a few years. In the project's second phase, digital solutions are planned to develop sub-projects such as real-time data flow, real-time shipment tracking, and e-archive, with the goal of gaining marked momentum in digitalization efforts in the logistics sector. Ufuk Toptaş, Deputy General Manager of Operations at Dinçer Lojistik, stated that "with the new storage and distribution centers in question, they have increased the number of service points to a total of 15 different provinces and 21 different locations, and that through their developed Distributor Logistics project, they aim to manage distributor dealers' warehouse and transportation processes from a single point, reducing costs on the service recipient side by 20 percent through their expertise in the logistics sector and consolidation opportunities, and as a natural output of the project, they foresee providing customers with faster, more effective and more efficient service."
