İva Natura Cosmetics Short Film Contest on Anatolian Plants Used in Cosmetics Launches

Plants used since ancient times for healing and beauty purposes remain the most valuable raw materials in the cosmetics sector today. Anatolian plants, a shared treasure of the entire world, have been integrated over thousands of years with cultures living in harmony with nature in this region through various tales, stories, legends and songs. As an organic cosmetics company, Laber Kimya (İva Natura) is organizing a "Short Film Contest" on the theme of "Anatolian Plants Used in Cosmetics" to contribute to the understanding and preservation of the biological and cultural value of Anatolian plants. The "İva Natura Cosmetics Short Film Contest," being held for the first time, aims to promote Anatolian plants used in cosmetics, bring forth artistic works related to these plants, and raise awareness in this way. The contest organization team and jury committee include experienced professionals, academics and prominent figures in the field. Awards will be presented to winning films at a Gala evening to be held in Istanbul during the first week of November 2017. The launch meeting of the "İva Natura Cosmetics Short Film Contest," which for the first time in Turkey brings together the themes of healing wisdom in Anatolia, sustainable cosmetics and plants with the concept of "short film," took place on 20 February 2017, Monday, at Cihangir Creatolye. Şebnem Schaefer, Brand Ambassador, hosted the short film contest, while jury members İva Natura Cosmetics Short Film Contest Organization Committee Chairman Levent KAHRIMAN, Cinematographer Uğur İÇBAK, Brand Manager Ferhat KAZANCI and Actor Müge BOZ were present and provided explanations regarding the short film contest. Jury members, stating "We are experiencing the moral satisfaction of contributing to showcasing Turkey's contemporary face that respects organic products and nature through short films," continued their remarks as follows: "Anyone with a story related to cosmetics and Anatolian plants and who wishes to tell it can participate in our contest."
