The 13th Round of InoSuit Launch Meeting Held

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), held the launch meeting for the 13th cycle of the Focused InoSuit Program with the participation of exporting companies and mentors. The Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the umbrella organization of 61 exporter associations, 27 sectors and over 100,000 exporters, continues its efforts to contribute to the development and transformation of companies and to enable them to compete globally. Within this scope, TİM, which has been running the Focused InoSuit Program for six years to develop Turkey's innovation ecosystem, organized the "Focused InoSuit Program September 2022 Cycle Information Sharing and Preparatory Meeting" ahead of the 13th cycle, which will begin on 1 September 2022. The meeting, held in the TİM Istanbul Foreign Trade Complex Conference Hall, was attended by exporting companies and mentors from different provinces of Turkey. The meeting, which began with opening remarks by TİM General Secretary Bilal Bedir, included a presentation by Assoc. Prof. Edin Güçlü Sözer, Assoc. Prof. Mihriban Coşkun Arslan, Assoc. Prof. Serkan Altuntaş and Dr. Sibel Sain on "Challenges and Solutions in Innovation Management." Following the presentation, a panel titled "Pre-Competitive Inter-Company Innovation Collaborations" was organized, moderated by Dr. Merih Pasin and Dr. Mehmet Aydın, Academic Coordinators of the InoSuit Program. Following the panel, the program continued with company and mentor introductions. The day-long program concluded with a presentation on "InoSuit Program Financing Processes and Internal Communication Methods" by the TİM Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department, followed by general briefing on the Focused InoSuit Program.  

We have achieved excellent results through the InoSuit Program

TİM General Secretary Bilal Bedir, who delivered the opening remarks of the meeting, stated that through the Focused InoSuit Program, they have brought together companies and mentors from all over Turkey and that they have achieved excellent results so far with this program. TİM General Secretary Bilal Bedir noted that in the new cycle they will continue to bring together companies and mentors from Adana to İzmir, from Antalya to Sakarya. TİM General Secretary Bilal Bedir emphasized that when looking at the participating companies in general, they have observed that innovation projects have been successfully completed and the number of patent, R&D and design centers has increased. He stated that these successes they have recorded have increased their confidence and motivation regarding the new cycle.

612 companies from 52 different provinces

Through the Focused InoSuit Program, which TİM conducts with the support of its affiliated exporter associations, companies throughout Turkey receive mentoring in the field of corporate innovation. To date, 612 companies from 52 different provinces have applied to the Focused InoSuit Program. Additionally, 1,045 mentor applications have been received from 144 universities in 63 different provinces. Since 2016, the program has launched 12 cycles, with 9 cycles completed. As of the 9th cycle, a total of 129 companies from 30 different provinces and 60 mentors from 38 universities in 18 different provinces successfully completed the program. A total of 25,520 hours of mentoring services were provided to 163 companies that signed contracts. For the 13th cycle of the Focused InoSuit Program, which will begin on 1 September, 65 companies and 25 new mentors from 18 universities have applied so far. As a result of meetings with companies and mentor candidates, a total of 26 companies have been matched for the "September 2022 Cycle": 2 companies in the InoSuit Preparation track, 6 companies in the InoSuit General track, 17 companies in the InoSuit Value-Added Focused track, and 1 company in the InoSuit Export Champions track.  

Development of Turkey's innovation ecosystem is targeted

Through the Focused InoSuit Program, which the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has launched to enable companies to receive mentoring support in the track appropriate to their innovation competency, the aim is to sustainably increase innovation management competency, create and strengthen innovation management infrastructure, and design and implement corporate innovation systems tailored to each institution's own objectives, structure and needs. For this purpose, the Focused InoSuit Program has been structured as 4 separate tracks: General, Preparation, Value-Added Focused and Export Champions. The program is conducted twice a year in March and September cycles.
