Gilead Launches Support Program for HIV Research

Gilead has launched a new support programme to take an important step in improving treatment pathways for individuals living with HIV. Called "RESONATE," the programme aims to provide financial support to innovative research projects that will deliver better outcomes in HIV treatment.

Gilead has launched a new programme to support innovative research projects aimed at improving treatment pathways for individuals living with HIV. The "RESONATE" programme seeks to support clinical and academic research of critical importance in HIV treatment. The programme includes funding support for research aimed at achieving better outcomes in HIV treatment.

Serhan Sevgi, Medical Director at Gilead Turkey, outlined the programme's purpose in the following words: "Improving treatment pathways for individuals living with HIV and enhancing their quality of life is one of our highest priorities at Gilead. With the RESONATE programme, we aim to contribute to public health by supporting researchers developing innovative solutions in HIV treatment."

Research projects supported under the programme will focus on topics such as treatment satisfaction for individuals living with HIV, mental health outcomes, clinical and virological outcomes. Additionally, projects developing innovative strategies to increase access to HIV care and reduce stigma will be prioritised during evaluation.

Eligible applicants include health professionals, clinical researchers and academics. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through  https://gileadmedaffairs.appiancloud.com/suite/portal/login.jsp Applicants can participate in the programme by submitting letters of intent containing a brief summary of their projects and budget estimates. Applications will be reviewed monthly, and projects selected for funding will contribute to significant advances in HIV treatment.

The application deadline is 18 November 2024.

Results of the letter of intent evaluation will be announced on 10 December 2024, and successful applicants will be invited to submit a full application. Researchers invited to submit a full application must complete their submissions by 10 January 2025. Projects selected for funding will be announced on 28 February 2025.

Through this programme, Gilead will continue to support innovative research aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals living with HIV and enhancing their treatment pathways.
