650 Future Chemists to Wear White Coats with MG International

"International fragrance manufacturer MG International Fragrance Company continues its support for young chemists through cooperation with the Chemical Engineers Association. A total of 650 chemistry students will be presented with laboratory coats at White Coat Ceremonies to be held in chemistry departments at universities across Turkey.

Through this partnership, which also includes Anatolian universities, the company aims to stand by the chemists of the future from their first day in the first year, emphasizing the importance of the chemistry profession and its contribution to life."

FIRST CEREMONY HELD AT METU

The first white coat ceremony for first-year chemistry students in the 2024-2025 academic year was held at Middle East Technical University (METU).

Speaking at the ceremony, Duygu Beşbıçak, Corporate Communications Manager at MG International Fragrance Company, expressed her pleasure at being present on this special day for the young chemists-to-be, saying, "We have gathered together on this special day as you begin a new journey as first-year students of the Chemistry Department at Middle East Technical University. An exciting period is beginning for all of you; putting on your laboratory coat is an important symbol of this journey."

Beşbıçak emphasized that chemistry is not merely about formulas and equations, but rather a science encountered in every aspect of life and one that makes life more beautiful. She noted that work in chemistry enables us to understand the secrets of nature, develop new products, and make life even better.

"As you put on your laboratory coat, do not forget that you are not simply putting on a piece of clothing. This coat symbolizes your creativity, your curiosity, and your passion for science. The chemistry sector is a rapidly developing and innovative field. In the perfume and cosmetics sector, we offer products that stir people's emotions, revive memories, and add color to their lives. Every molecule, every formula tells a story. And you will be the authors of these stories," said Beşbıçak, wishing the students an education period filled with science and discovery.

NEXT CEREMONY AT ESKIŞEHIR OSMAN GAZİ UNIVERSITY

Following the white coat ceremony organized in cooperation with the Chemical Engineers Association at METU, MG International Fragrance Company will continue the ceremonies respectively at Eskişehir Osman Gazi University (Eskişehir), Yıldız Technical University (Istanbul), Ege University (Izmir), Dokuz Eylül University (Izmir), and Ankara University (Ankara).
