Form Şirketler Grubu Supports Future Engineers

Form Şirketler Grubu, with support from its group company Form MHI Klima Sistemleri, opened the 50-computer Bedi Korun Computer Laboratory established at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for student use.

The laboratory, named after the company's late founder Bedi Korun, marks a new milestone in Form Şirketler Grubu's corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at engineering education and developing qualified human resources.

Continuing education investments at universities
Following previously opening a computer laboratory at Yıldız Technical University's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and an academic hall at the Faculty of Architecture for student use, Form Şirketler Grubu has now implemented a new education investment at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The laboratory, consisting of 50 computers, aims to strengthen the digital infrastructure that students need in their engineering education.

Opening ceremony attended by representatives from academia and industry
The opening ceremony, held on 30 June, was attended by Form Şirketler Grubu Board of Directors Chairman Figen Korun, Executive Board Chairman Tunç Korun, Board Member Özden Korun, and Form MHI Klima Sistemleri Board Member and General Manager Zafer Sarı.

On behalf of Istanbul Technical University, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Koç, ITU Foundation Secretary General Serdar Bilgi, ITU Foundation Board Member Güner Koçel, and numerous academics attended the ceremony.

The opening program began with an address by Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Koç describing the life and contributions to the sector of the late Bedi Korun. The program concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony following remarks by Form Şirketler Grubu executives.

"We will continue strengthening university-industry cooperation"
Form Şirketler Grubu Executive Board Chairman Tunç Korun stated that the laboratory is not merely a physical educational space but rather an important investment that will provide long-term benefits to future engineers.

Korun expressed his belief that the knowledge and experience gained in the laboratory, which will preserve the memory of Bedi Korun, will contribute to Turkey's development in industry and technology.

Noting that supporting mechanical engineering education is among the company's priorities, Korun emphasized that strengthening university-industry cooperation will bring significant contributions to both the quality of engineering education and Turkey's production capacity.

Korun also noted that the laboratory holds special meaning for the company, and expressed respectful remembrance of the late Cahit Değer, who was a 1958 graduate of ITU's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Long-term contribution to engineering education
Founded in 1965, Form Şirketler Grubu operates through six companies in the air conditioning sector, developing solutions for central and individual air conditioning systems as well as industrial applications.

The company continues its operations across different regions of Turkey with a wide product range including air handling units, VRF systems, fan coils, heat pumps, water cooling towers, natural ventilation and smoke evacuation systems, while aiming to contribute to the training of qualified engineers through its education sector investments.
