Filli Boya, which has supported numerous initiatives under the Victory Salute project in cooperation with the Çanakkale Battles Gallipoli Historical Area Directorate for 5 years, commemorates the 109th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory with a documentary titled "Salute to the Çanakkale Spirit." The documentary's premiere screening was held to understand and convey that period when the consciousness of solidarity was etched into history as the Çanakkale spirit. Filli Boya continues the "Victory Salute" project with the Çanakkale Battles Gallipoli Historical Area Directorate within the framework of the Eternal Protocol to convey cultural heritage and living spaces to future generations, and supports the work carried out for the renewal of the area. On the 109th anniversary of the victory, Filli Boya presents a comprehensive documentary to Turkey. The premiere screening of the "Salute to the Çanakkale Spirit" documentary, which stems from the idea that the 18 March Çanakkale Victory, an important historical turning point on the path to the establishment of the Turkish Republic, continues to provide strength and inspiration for the future, took place with the participation of Çanakkale Battles Gallipoli Historical Area Director İsmail Kaşdemir, Filli Boya General Manager Tayfun Küçükoğlu and numerous guests. Before the documentary screening, Filli Boya General Manager Tayfun Küçükoğlu, providing information about the Victory Salute project contributing to the goal of making the historical area where the Çanakkale battles took place the world's largest and most meaningful open-air museum, said: "For 5 years, we have been in a state of mobilization that we believe will bring great benefits to our country, working together with the Çanakkale Historical Area Directorate. As the 'Eternal' supporter of the historical area in Çanakkale, we carry out our cooperation at the highest level. With our Victory Salute project that began 5 years ago, we painted our veteran villages and schools. We renewed the world-famous 'Halt Traveler' monument with our special paints so it is visible 24 hours. What we have done is not merely a painting job. It is an expression of our gratitude to the Çanakkale spirit and our heroes who saved this homeland. We wanted our lands, our historical region, which is where the sun of liberation and freedom rose and which is the foundation stone of our republic, to be befitting of its honor." he said. Filli Boya General Manager Tayfun Küçükoğlu stated: "We began the Mustafa Kemal Road project with great enthusiasm and sensitivity. With this 17-kilometer road, we will better understand the importance of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in our history. We will witness how Atatürk, who did not follow rules but wrote them, and our heroes fought in Çanakkale for our country's liberation with what heroism, vision, determination, courage, sacrifice and will, and accomplished the impossible. We will grasp the dynamics of an unparalleled struggle. The Mustafa Kemal Road should be understood and presented as the starting point of our Founder's, our country's and world history's rise." He noted that the Mustafa Kemal Road, which was promoted on the 100th anniversary of our republic, is planned to be opened for visitation this year. As Filli Boya advances with the goal of keeping the Çanakkale spirit eternal and conveying it to future generations in all its vitality, Tayfun Küçükoğlu, stating that they decided to turn Çanakkale's historical value into a permanent documentary through the transmission of expert academics, said: "With our documentary 'Salute to the Çanakkale Spirit,' we are presenting ourselves to you in order to commemorate and understand the period when our Anatolia's spirit of solidarity was etched into history as the Çanakkale spirit. We made this documentary because Çanakkale is above ideologies, it is the foundation stone of our national unity, it is a nation's desire to live together and be free. It is the preamble of the Republic. We made this documentary because it is the will of a heroic generation to sacrifice themselves and pave the way for today's generations. We also have the responsibility to convey it to future generations. Çanakkale is such a struggle that everyone finds a lesson to draw. Our aim is for the Çanakkale spirit to dominate our country and all our conduct. For the Çanakkale spirit not to be remembered occasionally, but to reach the level where it will never be forgotten." he said.
Çanakkale Battles Gallipoli Historical Area Director İsmail Kaşdemir said that the historical area was visited by approximately 4 million people on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Stating that visits with families increase every year, Kaşdemir continued as follows:
"As the exceptional lands in Çanakkale, we are on every family's agenda, in the heart of every child of the Turkish nation. Çanakkale is the heart of the Turkish nation. This is a point where the Turkish nation meets. We do not consider this sufficient. We want to make Çanakkale a meeting point both in Turkey and in the world. With the work we have done, we aim to create an environment where our visitors will stay longer. We are restoring our castles, excavating our trenches, renovating our gun emplacements. We want to convey the Çanakkale spirit to our visitors in all its vitality. Çanakkale is the beginning of the path to the Republic. It is where the belief in the War of Independence began. It is the place where Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the commander-in-chief of the War of Independence and the founder of our Republic, stepped onto the historical stage. With Filli Boya's support, we arranged the march route of the battle led by Mustafa Kemal as a visitation route. I invite everyone to Çanakkale and want to meet them there. Filli Boya has been supportive in all our projects since 2019. The 'Salute to the Çanakkale Spirit' documentary is also an important step in this direction. I thank all those who contributed their efforts." In the "Salute to the Çanakkale Spirit" documentary, the insights provided by academics came together with the layered music of renowned pianist Fahir Atakoğlu that reflects the complex emotions of the war. The documentary, prepared and presented by journalist Cüneyt Özdemir, reaches viewers on Cüneyt Özdemir's YouTube channel.
