EKOS Electric, which exports energy solutions from Türkiye to different geographies around the world, continues to grow in international markets. Operating with an export network reaching 38 countries, the company has accelerated its production operations to fulfill transformer orders of nearly 350 MVA received from various markets extending from Europe to Africa.

Having pioneered the sector by launching Türkiye's first Underground Transformer Center, EKOS Electric develops energy solutions compliant with European standards through its new-generation production infrastructure. Within the scope of orders received recently, the company is carrying out production for projects targeting various European countries, particularly Bulgaria and Serbia, as well as Côte d'Ivoire.

First transformer shipment to Bulgaria completed
EKOS Electric General Manager Yasin Çakar evaluated the production efforts for international projects and said the following:

"As EKOS Electric, we have completed the first shipment of our transformers with Tier-2 technical specifications to be used in our project in Bulgaria. Our transformers, which we develop with our high engineering approach, continue to offer reliable and efficient solutions in international energy infrastructure projects. We continue to carry our engineering strength beyond borders. The orders we have received extend from Türkiye to Côte d'Ivoire. We are utilizing our advanced technology solutions to manufacture approximately 300 transformers to European standards for use in various markets, particularly Bulgaria and Serbia."

Çakar noted that they also carry out production for energy infrastructure projects in Türkiye, stating that hermetic-type transformers of various power ratings are being manufactured in accordance with TEDAŞ specifications within the scope of UEDAŞ and Başkent EDAŞ projects. The transformers to be produced are planned to be used in projects in Bursa, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Yalova, Ankara, Bartın, Çankırı, Karabük, Kastamonu, Kırıkkale and Zonguldak.

Contribution to energy efficiency with low-loss transformers
EKOS Electric completed the shipment of hermetic-type transformers of various power ratings, compliant with Tier-2 specifications, within the scope of the Bulgaria project. Manufactured in accordance with European standards, the transformers stand out with their low-loss features.

Low-loss transformers help reduce the losses that occur during the transmission and distribution of energy, thereby supporting increased energy efficiency. This feature is important in terms of reducing operating costs and energy losses in energy infrastructure.

Capacity increased through new-generation production infrastructure
Noting that EKOS Electric's modern production infrastructure provides a significant advantage in meeting increasing international orders, Yasin Çakar said that they have adopted a continuous improvement approach in their production processes.

Çakar said, "Thanks to our factory's modern production infrastructure, we actively use practices such as Kaizen, 5S and lean manufacturing. With the Kaizen approach, we base our production processes on continuous improvement; we evaluate our employees' suggestions regarding processes and implement improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, quality and occupational safety. With 5S practices, we support our operational efficiency by ensuring order, cleanliness, standardization and sustainability in our working areas. At the same time, we continue to increase our production capacity through new investments."
