Kıvanç Zaimler Appointed to Global Leadership Role by World Economic Forum

Within the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Advanced Energy Solutions platform—one of the most prestigious forums determining the global direction of next-generation energy technologies—has announced its new co-chairs ahead of the upcoming Davos Summit. Kıvançz Zaimler, CEO of Sabancı Holding, has been selected as one of the new co-chairs of this strategic platform driving advanced energy transformation, marking an important international achievement.

In his new role, Kıvançz Zaimler will lead efforts to determine the strategic agenda of the Advanced Energy Solutions platform, shape global priorities, and accelerate the rapid and effective scaling of advanced energy solutions across the world.

The Advanced Energy Solutions platform focuses on transformation-oriented areas in energy and climate technologies, bringing together the world's most innovative companies and visionary leaders in areas such as clean fuels, hydrogen, next-generation nuclear technologies, and energy and carbon storage. While aiming to reduce the timeframe for the widespread adoption of these technologies from decades to years, the platform creates a strong collaboration framework between technology developers, energy producers, investors, and the public sector. Rapid global scaling of advanced energy solutions, strengthening the investment environment, and addressing energy transformation in its economic, technological, and societal dimensions are among the platform's priorities for the new period.

Alongside his role as CEO of Sabancı Holding, Kıvançz Zaimler holds active roles on numerous national and international strategic platforms, including Co-Chair of Advanced Energy Solutions, Vice Chair of the World Energy Council Turkey, Board Member of IICEC (Istanbul International Energy and Climate Centre), and Advisory Board Member of SHURA Energy Transition Centre.
