Danfoss Eco™ Thermostat Wins Danish Design Award
Danfoss won the top award in the "People's Choice" category at this year's Danish Design Award, held annually in Copenhagen, Denmark's capital, with its Danfoss Eco ™ smart heating product.
Torben Pedersen, Head of Danfoss Residential Heating, Klaus Schroeder from Design-People APS and Morten Bjerg Kofod, Global Launch Manager at Danfoss, received the award at a ceremony held at Industriens Hus on 28 May.
Danfoss Residential Heating Head Torben Pedersen said of the award: "We are honored and proud that our Danfoss Eco ™ model won the Danish Design Award."
This year's jury, expanded with international members from Singapore, China and the United States, explained their reasons for selecting the Danfoss Eco™ model as follows: "This product is a simple yet highly efficient radiator thermostat that can deliver energy savings in private residences. The Bluetooth application makes it easy to adjust heating in different rooms.
Because it is an electronic thermostat that keeps home energy consumption under control, this is not actually a new concept, but until now most heating solutions have not been nearly as accessible in terms of cost and user-friendliness. On the other hand, Danfoss Eco™ is the first model developed not just for technology enthusiasts, but for average-income consumers."
Danfoss Eco™ Delivers Energy Savings of up to 30%
Danfoss Eco™, designed in collaboration with Danfoss and Design-People APS, enables residents of small apartments or homes to fully control radiator heating through Bluetooth. With this solution, energy consumption savings of up to 30% are achievable.
