Clariant to Distribute Tamisolve NxG for Agrochemical Applications
Clariant has signed an agreement to distribute Tamisolve NxG for Eastman Chemical under its own Genagen NBP trademark, leveraging Eastman's active ingredients alongside Clariant's formulation expertise. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Tamisolve NxG is a low-toxicity dipolar aprotic solvent designed for agrochemicals, widely used in plant growth regulators, biological control agents, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides due to its water miscibility and high solvency power.
The product is also claimed to feature "excellent toxicity labelling for agrochemical formulations."
Clariant described the partnership as "an indication of both companies' commitment to the sector" and as demonstrating crop protection companies' dedication to targets achievable through sourcing innovative, effective and environmentally friendly products to meet stringent regulations while supporting profitability.
The partnership is also part of Clariant's sustained investment in agrochemicals in recent years, including a 2017 investment in an R&D greenhouse for real-world crop protection trials and product development.
