Beyoğlu Satellite Incubation Cooperation Protocol Signed

Beyoğlu Satellite Incubator Cooperation Protocol Signed Turkey's first "satellite incubator center" Cube Beyoğlu, a partnership between Teknopark İstanbul and Beyoğlu Municipality, is opening in January 2023. According to a statement from Teknopark İstanbul, the Beyoğlu Satellite Incubator Cooperation Protocol was signed at a ceremony held with the participation of Boğaziçi University, Istanbul Technical University and Middle East Technical University. The signing ceremony held at the Cube Incubation center was attended by Teknopark İstanbul Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Metin Yerebakan and General Director Bilal Topçu, as well as Beyoğlu Mayor Haydar Ali Yıldız, Boğaziçi University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Naci İnci, ITU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu and METU Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Verşan Kök. According to the information provided, Cube Beyoğlu, which will serve as the center of operations for Teknopark İstanbul in the city center, holds the distinction of being Turkey's first satellite incubator center. Thanks to the experience of Teknopark İstanbul and the incubation center Cube Incubation in the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the support of strong academic institutions, it will bring a fresh perspective to the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Cube Beyoğlu, a 5-story building planned to open next month on İstiklal Avenue, Mis Street, will focus on thematic areas including artificial intelligence, digital art, simulation, gaming, augmented reality, VR and mobile applications. Additionally, with Cube Incubation support, entrepreneurs will be provided with numerous opportunities such as 24/7 modern working spaces, training and events, mentoring, academic and technical consulting, technical and entrepreneurship analyses, investor and company meetings, database access, and technopark tax benefits through technology transfer office support.  

'Will become a center for game technology'

Teknopark İstanbul General Director Bilal Topçu made the following statements on the matter: 'I am greatly excited that Cube Beyoğlu, which will be realized in line with our objective of becoming an attraction center for high-technology-focused innovation activities, is also a first in Turkey. Work will be conducted here to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem. For example, matters related to game technology will be planned at Cube Beyoğlu.'   Beyoğlu Mayor Haydar Ali Yıldız, the host of the project, stated that they are implementing and planning their projects with the motto "Beyoğlu Worthy of the 100th Year" for young people. Yıldız stated: 'On the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we are proud to achieve another first on İstiklal Avenue, which bears the name of the War of Independence, and to present it for the service of our youth. Here our young people will prepare for the world of tomorrow and receive education to make Turkey stronger in the world of tomorrow.'   Source
