Şeyma Bahşi Appointed Head of Astellas İlaç T-MEA Region

Şeyma Bahşi has been appointed to the position of Head of Astellas Pharmaceuticals Turkey-Middle East and Africa (T-MEA) Region. Bahşi previously served as General Manager of Astellas Turkey.

In her new role, Bahşi will oversee operations across 12 markets serving more than 418 million people and will continue to lead Astellas Turkey until a new general manager is appointed.

Bahşi will report directly to the Head of International Markets and will be based in Istanbul. As a member of the International Markets Leadership Team (IMLT), she will focus on translating Astellas' innovative science into value for patients across the T-MEA region.

Who is Şeyma Bahşi?

Şeyma Bahşi joined Astellas Turkey in 2016 as Sales Director and led sales teams and the commercial excellence team across four therapeutic areas during her tenure in Turkey. In 2020, Bahşi was appointed General Manager of Astellas Singapore & Malaysia, where she successfully implemented strategic initiatives and contributed to organizational growth. She developed comprehensive commercial strategy and roadmap for the Singapore & Malaysia organization, led the consolidation of structures across both countries, and oversaw the organization's transformation. By managing all commercial activities, she achieved significant increases in revenue and profitability. In 2023, she was appointed General Manager of Astellas Turkey.

Bahşi holds a bachelor's degree from Marmara University Department of Health Management and an MBA from Galatasaray University. She has over 23 years of experience in the industry.
