Artkim Group to Bring Life Sciences Sector Together in Istanbul Simultaneously Artkim Group will bring the Life Sciences sector together this year through the simultaneous organization of Cosmetics & Home Care, Food & Nutritional and Pharmaist Ingredients trade fairs. This comprehensive event will take place at Istanbul Fair Center between 31 May – 2 June 2023, bringing together domestic and foreign visitors with industry professionals. The 6th International Cosmetics, Personal Care, Detergent and Home Care Product Components, Raw Materials and Technologies (Cosmetics & Home Care Ingredients-CHCI) Fair will be enriched with the 'Fragrance and Taste Workshop' featuring workshops and seminars by perfumers and fragrance experts on perfume-making techniques. At the 5th International Food and Nutritional Ingredients, Contents and Technologies Fair, food and halal food components, food analysis and product development systems, food safety technologies, food packaging technologies and food production equipment will be on display. The 5th International Pharmaceutical Components and Raw Materials Fair, Pharmaist 2023, showcasing the latest products and technologies in the pharmaceutical sector—one of the chemical industry's most important subsectors—will offer participants the opportunity to interact with global brands to address the sector's chemical, raw material and technology procurement needs. These three trade fairs, organized by Artkim Fuarcılık, are preparing to host thousands of visitors from Europe, the Middle East, the Balkans, Turkic Republics, North Africa and the CIS regions, contributing to business development, new procurement opportunities and the creation of new business and cooperation opportunities in the international arena. Cengiz Yaman, Chief Executive Officer of Artkim Fuarcılık, noted that the company stands alongside the sector in achieving export targets and emphasized the important role that specialized trade fairs play in establishing new business connections and opening new markets. In his statement, commenting on all three sectors that make up the Life Sciences concept, Yaman said: "The Turkish cosmetics and home care products sector, which grows on average 10 percent annually, exports to 162 countries and maintains a foreign trade surplus. Our aim through specialized fairs is to contribute to this growth. In the food sector, we believe Turkey has great potential with its favorable geographical conditions and climate, and vast and fertile lands. Looking at the global pharmaceutical market, we see that it reached a volume of 1.5 trillion dollars in 2022. Turkey completed 2022 in the pharmaceutical export rankings at 21st place globally with USD 1.92 billion, a 0.6 percent increase. We believe that trade fairs will have an impact in increasing Turkey's share of this market." Fair visitors will be able to obtain information from expert speakers about the latest developments and technologies in the sector through the conference program and other events to be held between 31 May – 2 June 2023.     Artkim Fuarcılık, an Artkim Group entity, began its activities in the trade fair sector with its first organization in 2006 and over the years has brought 13 different specialized trade fairs to international standards covering the chemical, paints, cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical, polyurethane, composite, adhesive, technical foam, textile, surface treatment, industrial painting technologies and footwear sectors. Through the specialized trade fairs it has organized over the years, Artkim Fuarcılık plays an active role in promoting sector stakeholders' products and technologies, opening new international markets and increasing export values. Organizations held for over 16 years provide an environment for strengthening existing customer relationships and establishing new connections that can lay the groundwork for the future. The business connections established are converted into business volumes, providing significant input to the economy. High-value branded fairs recognized in the national and international arena have served for years as a unifying force for the chemical and related subsectors.
