Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji Reaches 802 MW Installed Capacity with Denizli Wind Power Plant Investment

Akfen Renewable Energy, one of Turkey's leading renewable energy producers, is continuing its investments without slowing down. The company announced through its 100% subsidiary Korda Energy that it has brought online the first section of a 19.2 MW capacity increase at the Denizli Wind Power Plant (WPP).

With this development, Akfen Renewable Energy's total installed capacity reached 802 MW. The company aims to raise its total installed capacity to 887 MW by the end of 2025 by completing hybrid solar and wind capacity expansion investments.

Licensed Capacity Increase Brought Online
In a disclosure made by Akfen Renewable Energy to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was announced that the 19.2 MW capacity increase of the Denizli WPP, which was approved by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority with license number EU/3382-10/2050 and initially had 24 MW installed capacity, received provisional acceptance from the T.C. Ministry of Energy and commenced commercial operation.

2025 Target: 887 MW Installed Capacity
This investment, which represents a significant portion of the 102 MW wind power capacity expansion projects included in the company's three-year investment program, reinforces Akfen Renewable Energy's contribution to Turkey's energy transition and sustainable development.
