Akcoat, which aims to create public awareness through social responsibility projects in the region where it operates and to strengthen health awareness among its employees, organized a meaningful seminar within the scope of Breast Cancer Awareness and Organ Donation Week. At the event, which attracted significant participant interest, presentations were held to raise awareness on early diagnosis and organ donation.
The event began with an opening address by Sena Özgül, Akcoat Human Resources Manager. Özgül stated that employee health is one of the cornerstones of institutional culture, saying, "Healthy individuals are the key to sustainable success. Therefore, we value awareness projects that support employee consciousness."
Early diagnosis saves lives
Dr. Sena Aydoğmuş, speaking at the program, emphasized the vital importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer and drew attention to the critical role of women undergoing regular checkups. Specialist Nurse Deniz Çiftçi, in her presentation on the occasion of Organ Donation Week, underlined that organ donation is a gift of life, stating: "Many individuals in our country and around the world are waiting for organs to continue their lives. However, because sufficient donations are not made, thousands of people lose their lives every year. Each donation becomes new breath for multiple lives. Organ donation is not merely a medical procedure; it is the most beautiful reflection of conscience, hope, and humanity."
The seminar concluded with remarks by Dr. Atakan Çelik, Akcoat Occupational Physician. Dr. Çelik thanked the healthcare professionals and participants, reminding employees not to neglect regular health checkups. Akcoat continues to strengthen its sustainable human resources approach by integrating practices that support the physical and mental well-being of its employees with health and safety-focused awareness projects.
