This strong partnership marks an important milestone that opens the way for Aksa Enerji's new investments in Africa while reinforcing its leadership role in the region's energy future.
The Turkey–Africa Day event, organized to promote stronger cooperation between Turkey and Africa in the areas of infrastructure, energy, finance and technology, hosted an important signing ceremony for Africa's energy future. Under the agreement signed by Aksa Enerji Board Chairman and CEO Cemil Kazancı and AFC President Samaila Zubairu, AFC will provide USD 150 million in financial support to Aksa Enerji for natural gas-fired power plant projects in the African region.
Cemil Kazancı, Board Chairman and CEO of Aksa Enerji, made the following statement regarding the agreement: "In line with our 2030 Global Strategy and sustainable high-growth targets, we are not only generating electricity across Africa but also building reliable energy infrastructure, supporting economic development and accelerating the region's energy transition. The high-engineering and advanced-technology power plant investments we are implementing in Africa are the clearest indication of our concrete contribution to the region's energy supply security. This important agreement we signed today is a new turning point in our journey to create long-term value in Africa.
