Anne Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı (AÇEV), through its "Learning Through Play" project, advocates for children's right to play and is preparing to bring educational games to children affected by the earthquake, starting on 23 April. Through donations to the project, children affected by the earthquake are introduced to a board game called 'Emotion Forest', developed by AÇEV specialists. AÇEV, which states "play is beautiful when shared," is calling on institutions and individuals to support the initiative so it can reach more children. For 30 years, Anne Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı (AÇEV) has worked to ensure every child is healthy, happy, safe and learning. The foundation is now launching a meaningful project to advocate for children's right to play and connect children with games. Through the "Learning Through Play" project, on 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day, it is introducing children living in earthquake-affected areas to an educational board game called 'Emotion Forest', developed by AÇEV specialists. AÇEV advocates for the right to play, which is also part of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and emphasizes that play supports children's mental, social-emotional, physical and language development. The foundation stresses that play, which serves as a means of self-expression for children, can develop children's creativity, imagination, communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills. The 'Emotion Forest' game, developed by AÇEV specialists who have implemented science-based educational programmes for young children and their parents since the foundation's establishment, encourages children to learn about emotions and think creatively. Stating "play is beautiful when shared," AÇEV is calling on institutions and individuals to support the initiative so it can bring games to more children, particularly those affected by the earthquake. Anyone wishing to contribute can make a donation through acev.org and gift the 'Emotion Forest' board game to children. AÇEV has designed a web page advocating for children's right to play and connecting them with games, featuring information on the game's impact on children's holistic development, activities that can be done with children, and game content.
