We had a pleasant interview with Mr. Hasan Hüseyin Engin, Company Owner and Director of eMEDa about development of the company and products which serve the sector.

Could you briefly tell our readers about yourself and your educational background?

I graduated from Middle East Technical University, Chemical Engineering Department and then obtained my master degree from Bosphorus University in characterization of polymer blends. Over the following 15 years I worked as a senior-level leader in the chemical industry and then decided to establish eMEDa to design instruments in order to address production difficulties I had encountered on the production side.

Could you tell us about the development process of your company from its foundation to the present day?

eMEDa was founded in 2003 as a service company for tinting systems. In addition to representing high-quality tinting system suppliers, we developed innovative equipment to facilitate laboratory and production operations.

Could you tell us about your products, your target group and the industries that you serve?

We offer innovative equipment such as Emok, which reduces drying times of coating samples from hours to minutes and accelerates the colour measurement cycle. We also manufacture and assemble various sizes of mixers, dispersers and filling systems for the production of various materials.

We primarily serve the paint industry but our products can be used in other sectors as well. Now we are able to design and provide complete tailored turnkey special laboratory and production systems.Do you provide any support for your customers before and after sales? Would you please inform about quality assurance policies you apply, in order for the continuation of your company and dependability of your products?

Since we started as a service company, we naturally provide technical consultancy and support before and after sales. Following assembly of our products, we continuously monitor and support our customers. We use the ISO 9001-2015 quality management system to ensure that customers receive consistent, high-quality products and services. We manufacture equipment in accordance with CE directives and these devices are tested by independent laboratories. Our target is to create ground-breaking designs and provide cutting edge equipment that makes processes fast and independent from operator.   Turkish machinery companies serving the chemical industry have expanded to many countries now.

What are your opinions about Turkish production of chemical industry equipment?

There has been good development especially over the last 10 years. Turkish machinery companies serving the chemical industry have expanded to many countries now.

Could you inform us about your goals and future projects?

Our target is to create ground-breaking designs and provide cutting edge equipment that makes processes fast and independent from operator. Alongside emok-fast film dryer and ekta-bucket test system, we began prototyping etok fast powder coating curing system and edos valve robot for filling difficult materials in small batches.

What kind of activities do you perform on protection of environment and work safety sensitivity?

Beyond efficiency and functionality, environment and safety are basic criteria in our designs and prototypes. Furthermore, we manufacture our products without compromising on environmentally friendly technologies. We also conduct periodic training and evaluations at our company.
