Komili Establishes Olive and Olive Oil Institute

The scope of cooperation between Bunge Gıda Turkey and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the field of sustainability projects will expand with the opening of the "Komili Olive and Olive Oil Institute" in Ayvalık, whose establishment studies have begun under EBRD sponsorship. Bunge Turkey Country Leader Turgut Yeğenağa commented: "I am convinced that women's labor must be prioritized for societies to develop and succeed. With this conviction, I am very pleased about the 'Komili Olive and Olive Oil Institute', which we will establish to support female farmers and prospective farmers in protecting our natural heritage. Now, we are pleased to realize another milestone, as the institute we have long wanted to establish for the future of olive oil and its culture is coming into being."
