EİB Exported to 198 Countries and Regions

EIB Exports to 198 Countries and Regions Aegean Exporters Associations (EİB) reached 198 different export markets in the January-April period of 2022, increasing its exports to 126 countries and regions. EİB increased its exports by 27% in the January-April period of 2022, earning USD 6.205 billion for Turkey. In the first 4 months of 2022, EİB exported to 198 countries and increased its exports to 126 countries. EİB Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi made statements on the matter.

Exports to the EU Rose 28% in the First Four Months of 2022 to Reach USD 2.950 Billion

Aegean Exporters Associations Coordinator Chairman Jak Eskinazi stated, "In the January-April period of 2022, we increased our exports to 126 out of 198 countries and regions to which we conducted exports. Our exports to the European Union reached USD 2.950 billion with a 28% increase in the first four months of 2022. While our exports to 26 EU countries increased, the EU's share in EİB's total exports was recorded at 47%, and the European continent's share in our exports at 54%."

Largest Growth of 65% Achieved in Turkish Republics

Eskinazi pointed out that EİB's exports experienced notable increases by country groups in the first four months of 2022, and stated that the highest regional growth of 65% was achieved in Turkish Republics, bringing their exports to USD 106 million. Eskinazi said; "We exported USD 749 million to Middle Eastern countries with a 45% increase, USD 696 million to American countries with a 26% increase, and USD 552 million to African countries with a 50% increase. Our exports to other European countries reached USD 445 million with a 27% increase, and USD 236 million to former Eastern Bloc countries. We exported USD 111 million to Free Zones with a 9% increase."

Exports to Asia and Oceania Countries Reached USD 357 Million

Jak Eskinazi shared the information that exports to Asia and Oceania countries reached USD 357 million in the January-April period, and stated "Looking at Far Eastern countries; our exports to China maintained USD 85 million, at the same level as the corresponding period of the previous year. We have USD 15 million in exports to South Korea and USD 8 million to Hong Kong. In South Asia, we increased our exports to India by 45%, Bangladesh by 48%, and Sri Lanka by 29%. In the Asia-Pacific region, our exports increased to Malaysia by 72%, Singapore by 33%, and Thailand by 53%."

Germany Leads with USD 673 Million and 22% Growth

Noting that Germany ranked first with a 22% increase at USD 673 million, the United States second with a 29% increase at USD 486 million, and Italy third with a 32% increase at USD 379 million in the January-April period, Eskinazi said; "United Kingdom with an 18% increase at USD 349 million, Spain with a 25% increase at USD 335 million, Netherlands with a 35% increase at USD 289 million, France with an 11% increase at USD 256 million, Israel with a 36% increase at USD 174 million, Iraq with a 64% increase at USD 138 million, and Belgium with a 20% increase at USD 154 million are among the leading countries in EİB's exports," listing the top 10 countries in EİB's export ranking.
