Ankara Exported USD 6.6 Billion in Nine Months According to data compiled by AA correspondents from the Ministry of Commerce and Turkish Exporters Assembly, Ankara exported USD 625.1 million to the US, USD 599.3 million to China and USD 484.8 million to Germany during January-September. In the January-September period, approximately USD 1.1 billion of exports comprised "chemicals and chemical products", USD 1 billion covered "machinery and parts", and USD 865.4 million consisted of "mining products". According to data obtained, exports increased by 19.1% compared to the same period last year and rose to USD 6.6 billion. Turkey's exports in September reached USD 20.8 billion, up 30% compared to the same month of the previous year. According to the data, for the first time in the Republic's history, monthly exports exceeded the USD 20 billion threshold. In the January-September period, exports increased by 36% compared to the previous year and reached USD 161 billion.

Exports from Capital Rose by 19.1%

Exports from Ankara showed growth compared to the same period last year. In the January-September period, exports from the capital increased by 19.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached USD 646.008 million. Looking at exports from Ankara, the US received the highest volume of foreign sales. Ankara exported USD 625.054 million to the US. The US was followed by China with USD 599.256 million, Germany with USD 484.776 million, Iraq with USD 267.170 million and Italy with USD 227.202 million.

In the January-September foreign sales from the capital, "chemicals and chemical products" held the largest share. "Chemicals and chemical products" ranked first among exported product groups at USD 1.102809 billion.

This sector was followed by "machinery and parts" at USD 1.043338 billion, "mining products" at USD 865.445 million, "automotive industry" at USD 848.066 million and "electrical-electronics" at USD 468.112 million.
