Shimadzu's new gas chromatography mass spectrometer series GCMS NX has been introduced to GC-MS specialists with superior performance features. The new NX series, consisting of TQ8050 NX, GCMS-TQ8040 NX and GCMS-QP2020 NX, combines high accuracy and high sensitivity with ease of maintenance and high efficiency. Gas chromatography mass spectrometers (GC-MS) are used in quantitative analyses to monitor the presence of environmental pollutants and pesticide residues in food. They are also used in the analysis of banned drugs and aromatic compounds and for quality control of chemicals. In recent years, GC-MS systems are preferred not only for their ability to provide performance in high-sensitivity trace analysis, but also for being user-friendly and appealing to users at different levels. All systems in the GCMS NX series are equipped with Shimadzu's new GC, Nexis GC-2030, as the gas chromatography (GC) unit. This GC model is equipped with a next-generation flow control device that provides ultra-fast and ultra-precise control, offers the scalability required to adapt to various applications, and provides performance characteristics to world standards. The combination of Nexis GC-2030 with a mass spectrometer providing sensitivity above standards delivers both high sensitivity and high performance.

2. Ease of Maintenance

With the Click Tech feature, accessories can be attached or removed without tools. Features such as the sample injection port that can be opened and closed without tools and the illuminated column oven reduce maintenance burden. The time required to replace some parts has been reduced by 80%. Ease of maintenance helps GCMS NX series reduce operator dependence and contributes to increased productivity in analytical laboratories.

In conventional GC-MS systems, the user must control the system during startup, shutdown, maintenance and adjustment procedures.
