Complete Solution for All Corrosive Applications at Leon Teknik
Leon Teknik, known in the sector for the high quality and performance of its valve and pump group products, offers complete solutions with RESISTOFLEX® ATL* Special Teflon-Lined Piping & Fittings in its extensive product portfolio, particularly for piping carrying highly corrosive fluids.
(*Advanced Technology Liner)
In piping and valve selection applications where corrosive effect is the most important factor, leading fluids include sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrobromic acid, and liquid or gaseous chlorine.
In corrosive and demanding applications where stainless steel proves insufficient, instead of specialized alloy metals such as 904L, Duplex, Hastelloy, Alloy 20, Monel, Inconel, RESISTOFLEX® product lines provide complete and permanent solutions, delivering the same performance as these special alloys while requiring approximately 75% lower investment.
Leon Teknik supplies complete piping systems and all valves or additional equipment such as filters, sight glasses, and flexible hoses used on these lines in teflon-coated form, thereby addressing chronic process problems, shutdowns, and periodic maintenance costs caused by such fluids. This contributes to process efficiency and reduces maintenance and repair costs.
RESISTOFLEX® ATL Piping and Fittings are manufactured using over 75 years of experience and patented THERMALOK® technology.
The THERMALOK® process is the most advanced technology used in coating carbon steel or stainless steel piping with PTFE (Polytetrafluorethylene) or PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy).
Through this technology, permeation of the PTFE or PFA teflon coating is reduced to minimum levels, providing a longer-lasting solution.
Thanks to this patented technology, approximately 60% less permeation is achieved compared to other manufacturing methods. (See: Table-1)
Other advantages of RESISTOFLEX® ATL technology;
• Monolithic fluorocarbon coating covering pipes and flanges, preventing chemical contact with metal and corrosion. • Superior chemical and physical resistance and extended service life, enabling use in any plant. • Capability to operate under complete vacuum. • Resistance to physical impact, thermal shock, irregular temperature changes, pressure surges, and vibration. • External surface with corrosion-resistant special coating. • Flexible operating temperature range (-30°C to +260°C). • Very smooth liner surface with minimal fluid adhesion to PFA coating. • Capability to produce electrically conductive coating (Conductive PTFE). • Official FDA approval for food and pharmaceutical applications. • Non-reactive with chemicals. • Vibration dampening. • Resistance to UV light. • Resistance to weather conditions. • Non-damaging to fluid properties. RESISTOFLEX® ATL special teflon-lined piping and fittings can be produced isometrically in accordance with drawings submitted by our customers. In addition to piping produced in standard lengths from 500 mm to 6,000 mm, isometric CAD drawings in AutoCAD, Solidworks, CATIA and similar formats can be used to produce piping in all requested lengths with millimetric precision. Custom-produced components simplify assembly while enabling partial revisions to the piping or installation of new lines as required. This allows for the integration of practical assembly/disassembly, long-term reliable piping into the process. RESISTOFLEX® ATL special PFA teflon-lined products; • Fixed flange piping. • Rotating flange piping. • 45° elbows. • 90° elbows. • Concentric reducers. • Eccentric reducers. • Equal T pieces. • Reducing T pieces. • Spacer pieces. • Expansion compensators. • Flex (flexible) hoses. • Instrument connections. • Blind flanges. • Manifolds. • S-shaped bends. • Tank connections (Dip Pipe). • Custom designs.
