Be the One Who Notices the Light in the Dark…
Retro-reflective pigment, an innovative approach for both aesthetics and safety…
With this new generation of pigments, they can be used both as a visual effect in coatings for textile, paints (industrial, decorative, hobby, spray, glass etc.), printing and other applications, as well as an element providing discernibility of other variables in high-technology vehicles of the future.
Distinguishing features of Rheolight® that stand out against its competitors:
• Retro-reflective pigments reflect light back in the direction from which it came, rather than reflecting it at many angles with different refractions like standard reflective products.
• Compared to similar products on the market with particle sizes of 200-300 μm, alternatives in sizes of 25-20 and 10 μm expand boundaries, enabling differentiation in application areas and providing a broader perspective.
• Detectable and measurable not only by the human eye, but also by technology-based machines.
Tested in many water-based and solvent-based systems, it is a product compatible with effect pigments such as pearl and aluminum paste that can enhance reflectivity.
Thanks to its physical and chemical structure compatible with different substrates, formulations and environments, it provides an effective process in laboratory work and production.
Since different options are available depending on the desired effect, application purpose and use, it expands potential rather than limiting users.
• Water-based / solvent-based,
• Requiring top coat / not requiring top coat,
• 10 / 20 / 25 μm particle sizes,
• Extra reflectivity on dark substrates or colors / standard reflectivity on light substrates or light colors.
Application Areas:
Paints
• Automotive paint, • Bicycle paint, • Decorative paint, • Spray paint, • Glass paint, • Hobby paint / poster paint.Leather & Synthetic Leather
Textile
• Silkscreen, • Flexography, • Rotogravure.Wallpaper
Plastic (work in progress, coming soon…)
And what about more… With advancing technology, autonomous vehicles equipped with self-parking capabilities, driverless operation, and advanced sensors will increasingly take their place in our lives. How Important Is Safety for You?
These smart pigments adapt to LiDAR (light detection and ranging) systems that measure distance using near-infrared (905 nm or 1500 nm) lasers, detecting bicycles, scooters, automobiles and other vehicles passing nearby at greater distances, thereby reducing the risk of blind spot accidents. Especially for unlit environments and vehicles in dark and metallic colors. In the image, the scooter on the right is painted with standard paint while the other is coated with paint prepared with Rheolight. The portions shown in green by LiDAR measurement are the areas detected due to reflection. The greater the reflectivity, the more a spectrum forms from blue to red. As can be seen, the more sensitive the sensors of autonomous vehicles, the safer we can be in the near future. Since the day Rheolight appeared, it has continued to develop, and in return it has been rewarded with awards… A brighter, safer, more innovative world!
