Alışan Lojistik Signs Cooperation Agreement with IFCO Alışan Lojistik has signed a new cooperation agreement with IFCO, a leading global supplier of Reusable Plastic Container (RPC) solutions. Through this cooperation, IFCO has invested in a total of 7,200 square-metre "SmartCycle" washing facility in Turkey. Following its investments in the Marmara, Thrace, Aegean and Çukurova regions, Alışan Lojistik, which has established a base in Konya in the Central Anatolia region to provide solution-oriented, quality and differentiated services to its customers, has launched a new cooperation with IFCO, a leading global supplier of Reusable Plastic Containers (RPC). IFCO, which has decided to accelerate its investments in Turkey, will use Alışan's Konya depot as a base to provide washing services for over 40 million soiled vegetable and fruit crates annually through environmentally friendly practices. Within the framework of the 4-year contract signed with Alışan Lojistik, IFCO has equipped the total 7,200 m² Konya Service Centre it operates with an automated sorting and crate recognition system and designed the entire high-pressure washing and sanitation process to be fully automatic and capable of handling and sorting IFCO RPCs of all sizes and types. At the centre, the IFCO SmartCycle washing process will meet global standards through its hygienic and food-safe sustainable solution while maximising water reuse. IFCO CFO Julian Zu Putlitz, Vice President for Southern Europe Francesca Amadei and Turkey Country Manager Seymen Serintürk, who attended the opening of the centre, stated in their remarks that as a brand leading sustainable supply chains, they are committed to supporting IFCO customers in achieving their sustainability goals and at the same time taking concrete steps, such as at this facility, to reduce IFCO's own carbon footprint. The executives, who also noted IFCO's full confidence in the Turkish market, stressed that they will continue to be positioned as a solution partner offering environmentally friendly and most competitive packaging solutions for food retail customers in the market.

IFCO Country Manager Seymen Serintürk, noting that the facility was carefully designed through detailed analyses and future projections and that a location such as Konya was strategically determined, continued as follows:

"First and foremost, we fully understand our customers' race against time in food categories where freshness is measured in hours or even minutes, and we constantly improve ourselves to help them achieve their goals. With this facility, we are taking an important step in realising IFCO's high-growth targets for the medium and long term."
