Zorlu Enerji Receives 20-Year Aggregator License from EPDK

Zorlu Enerji has qualified to obtain a 20-year Aggregator Licence from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK). With this licence, the company will be able to conduct aggregation activities in the electricity market and manage both its own generation portfolio and capacities belonging to third parties.

Zorlu Enerji, which provides end-to-end services across different areas from generation to distribution, from charging stations to energy management systems, has entered a new phase in the energy market with its 20-year Aggregator Licence obtained from EPDK. Zorlu Dengeleme ve Enerji Yönetimi AŞ, established as a 100 percent subsidiary of Zorlu Enerji, one of the pioneering companies in renewable energy, will provide aggregation services in the electricity market under the Aggregator Licence obtained.

Aggregation, an increasingly important area in the electricity sector, refers to combining electricity consumption and generation capacities of different consumers and producers under one roof and presenting them to the market. In this way, a broad portfolio ranging from individual producers to industrial facilities can participate in markets through a single company. With the Aggregator Licence, Zorlu Enerji has gained the opportunity to manage both its own generation portfolio and generation and consumption capacities belonging to third parties. Through this structure, the company will contribute to maintaining supply-demand balance while offering more flexible and efficient solutions in energy management.
