Applications open for Chemical R&D Project Fair with total prizes of TRY 150,000

Innovative ideas and projects that will add value to the chemical industry continue to be supported through the "Research and Development Project Marketplace in the Chemical Substances and Products Sector." The Chemistry Research and Development Project Marketplace, organized to ensure sustainable exports from chemistry, one of Turkey's leading sectors, will be held for the sixth time this year. Projects selected by a jury comprised of sector experts will be awarded on 19 November 2016 at the Istanbul Foreign Trade Complex.Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM) coordinated 6. Chemistry Substances and Products Sector Research and Development Project Marketplace, organized in partnership with Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB) and Mediterranean Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (AKMİB), will bring together universities, research institutions, industrialists, entrepreneurs and relevant government agencies.
Applications for the Research and Development Project Marketplace in the Chemical Substances and Products Sector, which has become one of the successful examples of university-industry collaboration in the chemistry sector, will close on 31 October.
Projects will be evaluated in 5 different categories: Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Products, Paints and Adhesives, Plastics and Rubber, Cosmetics, Soap and Cleaning Products, and Basic Chemicals. In the "6. Chemistry Substances and Products Sector Research and Development Project Marketplace," projects that can be converted into products will compete.
Project owners whose projects rank in the top 30 among all applicants will make presentations on 19 November 2016 at the Istanbul Foreign Trade Complex, where they will explain their projects in detail to the Award Board Members.
Following the presentations, a ceremony will be held where winning projects will be awarded. A total of TRY 150,000 in prizes will be distributed across the five categories: TRY 15,000 for first place, TRY 10,000 for second place, and TRY 5,000 for third place in each category.
