Roche Named Most Sustainable Company on Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Once Again
Roche has been selected as the most sustainable company in the "Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and Life Sciences" industry sector of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the tenth consecutive year.
The index, based on in-depth analysis of companies' economic, social and environmental performance, serves as a benchmark for investors who factor sustainability into their portfolios.
Through its exemplary sustainability strategy, which is fully integrated with company operations and culture, Roche demonstrates outstanding achievement particularly in the Marketing Practices, Environmental and Social Reporting, and Health Outcome Contribution categories of the index.
Roche CEO Severin Schwan, expressing pride in the fact that their sustainability efforts have brought leadership for the 10th time, stated: "As Roche, our most important contribution to society is the development of medicines and diagnostic tools that significantly improve people's lives.
The open and constructive dialogue we establish with other companies, universities, doctors and patients plays a fundamental role in understanding the needs of our healthcare sector stakeholders and gives us the ability to work together to deliver more targeted medical solutions more rapidly," he said.
