Jim Lawrence Selects Greenkote's Anti-Corrosion Coatings
Ohio-based advanced corrosion prevention metal coating developer Greenkote has announced the sale of a new Greenkote® coating system to Jim Lawrence Traditional Ironworks Ltd, a British handcrafted home lighting, hardware and furniture creator.
The Greenkote system was installed at Jim Lawrence's facility in Suffolk, United Kingdom. The announcement was made jointly by Greenkote's Chief Executive Officer Mark Gore and Jim Lawrence Traditional Ironworks founder and Chief Executive Officer Jim Lawrence.
Lawrence said, "Quality is the foundation of our brand" and added "Previously, our supplier applied a different corrosion prevention coating to our outdoor products, but it did not meet our quality and customer service standards.
Now we've switched to Greenkote and have our own coating line in-house. We achieve more consistent, superior anti-corrosion protection on our products. Additionally, we are able to accelerate our delivery schedules."
Gore said, "Greenkote coating is highly suitable for Jim Lawrence applications because it creates a visually smooth surface" and continued "It possesses a unique microscopic roughness that provides optimal adhesion for all custom paints and coatings applied afterwards to products, and this represents a significant advantage compared to other thermal diffusion coatings."
Jim Lawrence offers an extensive collection of classic and modern handcrafted home furniture including lighting, lampshades, door and window hardware, accessories and more. These are supplied in a wide variety of styles, colors and metallic finishes, each individually applied by the company's own skilled craftspeople.
Advanced Greenkote coatings are currently being used to replace older corrosion prevention processes such as galvanizing, hot dipping, metal spraying and sherardizing to protect metal products exposed to weather or harsh environments. In addition to advanced corrosion protection, it provides longer wear life and superior topcoat adhesion, and its highly adaptable configuration allows it to be used even on complex geometries such as geared parts. Furthermore, Greenkote is completely environmentally friendly. It is applied via a patented zinc-based dry thermal diffusion process, requires no acids or hazardous chemicals, and produces no toxic byproducts. Greenkote supplies both coating systems and coating materials. Every new licensed coating system sold is configured for the customer's application, and Greenkote directly oversees the supply, installation and setup of all equipment and training of new operators. In addition, Greenkote provides coating services through its own coating centers and licensed partner partners for a wide range of users across construction, automotive, utilities, consumer products and many other industries.Advertisement
