Milk Producer İçim Süt Launches TÜBİTAK-Supported Project

İçim Süt, one of Türkiye's leading dairy brands, aims to reduce risks by strengthening raw milk supply, quantity and price forecasts through an artificial intelligence project it will develop with TÜBİTAK support. The project also represents a successful example of a cooperation model between public institutions, industry, universities and technology providers.

A New Era in the Sector with Artificial Intelligence
İçim Süt became one of 12 projects that earned TUBITAK support from thousands of applications through the "Goat Milk Supply, Quantity and Price Forecasting Simulation" project carried out in collaboration with academia and technology providers.
Thanks to the artificial intelligence and machine learning-based infrastructure to be developed in the project, regional and seasonal changes in goat milk supply will be forecasted with high accuracy, increasing efficiency in production planning. In this way, supply-demand balance will become more controlled and predictable, providing a sustainable and data-driven decision-making environment for sector stakeholders.
Project Objectives and Statements
Recep Ateş, Milk Procurement Director at İçim Süt, stated the following regarding the project:
"We are monitoring statistical data of all parameters affecting milk production. With this project, we will create a predictable and sustainable process management that ensures supply-demand balance for sector stakeholders."
Mehmet Belgen, Director of Digital and Information Technologies at İçim Süt, evaluated the project as follows:
"Artificial intelligence and machine learning-based algorithms will enable forecasting of seasonal and regional variations in goat milk production with high accuracy. In this way, the effectiveness of decision support systems based on supply-demand balance will increase and we will make data-driven digital transformation in agriculture and food sector scalable."
Protocol Ceremony
The protocol for the project launch was signed by Mehmet Belgen, Director of Digital and Information Technologies at İçim Süt, and Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, Rector of Yildiz Technical University, at a ceremony attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın.
